Description

Critics:

“Palmer Brut Réserve NV is kept 4 years in the cellars, on lees 6 months plus after disgorgement, compared to 2 or 3 years maximum for other serious houses, and the blend contains a very high proportion of reserve wines (close to 30% reserve wines that are up to 7 years older than the base vintage and some of which are actually from a solera of reserve wines that was started 21 years ago), hence the name “Brut Réserve”. – 92 Points, Huon Hooke

Producer:

Palmer & Co. might just be the best Champagne house you have never heard of! A treble gold medal winner at 2018’s International Wine Challenge, Champagne expert Tom Stevenson included Palmer & Co. in his list of ‘The 5 most underrated Champagne producers.’

With 180 hectares of vineyards classified in Grands and Premier Crus, it is from the Mountain of Reims that Palmer gets the main part of its supplies. The regions of La Côte de Sézanne, of La Côte de Bar, and La Vallée de La Marne complete the assemblage by bringing their own specificities. The grape-varieties are divided into: 50 % of Chardonnay, 40 % of Pinot Noir, 10 % of pinot Meunier: The ideal proportions which shape the unique style of the Cuvées.
