Description

Critics:

“Mauve red colour with garnet hues, with a complex and lively aroma with notes of blackberry jam, blueberries, plums, which are combined with hints of licorice and tobacco. On the palate it is refined and harmonious with soft tannins.” – Producer

Cantine Paolini has a long history over half a century that began in 1964 in Marsala, the westernmost city of Sicily. In a fertile territory, a group of far-sighted winemakers thought of uniting their individual strengths and skills to enhance the most suitable soils and improve the production of grapes in wine. In 1972 the first harvest took place and since then the path of the winery is constantly expanding.

The rural center once inhabited by winemakers is located in the district of Paolini, from which the winery takes its name. The origins of the name are even more ancient, dating back to the beginning of the 1500s when the monastic order Paolotti started to cultivate the vineyards in the same places today.
