"Crisp and zippy with a citrusy freshness. If you aren't familiar with this Spanish grape then we suggest you introduce yourself.. fast ! This Spaniard means business.. and that business is enjoying a beautiful dry white wine with friends.. and maybe some tapas. One of the best value Albariño wines we've tasted. Great with seafood." - Craig

Rectoral do Umia is one of a handful of wineries in Galicia in North West Spain under the ownership of Family Wine Group Vinos y Bodegas Gallegas. The state of the art Rectoral do Umia winery, where Abellio Albarino is made, is located in the Salnes Valley and was built in 2009. The vineyards are located on some of the best sites of Rias Baixas. The fruit, hand-harvested in early September, reaches the winery within two hours of harvest in 18 kg crates. The grapes are de-stemmed and macerated prior to a light crush and fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, to retain flavour and freshness.
